DevOn’s response to COVID-19

Mitigating risks and Ensuring Business Continuity during COVID 19

The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic has changed the whole world in unprecedented ways. The impact is overwhelming for businesses and people globally. At Devon, we continue to help our stakeholders navigate this difficult situation by responding quickly and efficiently to the uncertain environment changes. Our only objective is to help clients during this time of adversity and at the same time maintaining zero risks for the team and community.

In line with the current situation and to ensure the health and well-being of our employees and their family we initiated our business continuity plan (BCP) by mid of March. Prior to that, we had implemented various measures across Devon to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) by minimizing travel and allowing people suffering from cold to stay and work from home.

Our BCP ensures that the business can continue in any unforeseen circumstances. We were quick and responsive in adapting to the current crisis. As a part of BCP –

  • We make sure our development teams are available for customers during the regular business hours in the needed channels where customers communicate.
  • The confidentiality and integrity of data is maintained by implementing virtual work best practices
  • We have identified and deployed our digital collaboration tools for seamless communication across teams and different levels. This enables us to stay connected through video conferencing, real-time chat, virtual company level meetings, screen sharing etc.
  • Seamless onboarding of new employees. We continue to onboard new employees through a virtual induction and paperless onboarding. The laptops are there in stock and is delivered to new joiners’ home through online delivery apps.

The daily call is scheduled among leaders on the COVID-19 steps required to deal with the dynamic environment. Our emergency support team closely monitors the situation by referring to domestic and international government guidelines. Any decision taken for business resilience is communicated by the leaders and emergency support team through appropriate channels of communication maintaining transparency.

In order to help people, cope up with the lockdown situation a webinar on Mental Health and Stress management was arranged. This webinar emphasized on how to remain positive and active while staying at home and working from home, rather than indulging in stress and negativity.

We collaborated with one of the health assistance application to help our employees take care of themselves and their family. Various features like doctor consultation, home delivery for medicines, and self-evaluation for corona can be utilized through this app.

Our priority is to safeguard people and quickly adapt to disruptions while maintaining continuous business operations. Please feel free to reach out to info@devon.nl in case of any queries or concerns.
