A pop-up stall for snacks and savories was arranged at the DevOn Bangalore office premises on 29th March 2023. The stall was put up by Thank U Bakery. Thank U Bakery is a livelihood initiative of the Indian Association for the Blind to make visually challenged youth self-reliant.
Thank U Bakery is a unique venture that provides gainful employment opportunities for visually challenged individuals. The bakery stall was set up in the office and a range of baked goods such as cookies, sweets, and snacks was on sale. The bakery not only serves as a source of livelihood for the visually challenged but also helps in creating awareness about their capabilities.
The initiative was received positively by people at Devon and they were able to receive a sale value of 14,000 INR. Kudos to all who welcomed the bakery and its products with open arms. The visually challenged individuals running the bakery stall are skilled and passionate about baking, which reflects in the quality of their products.
